Plan your visit

Tampa Theatre opened in 1926 and is a historic movie palace whose auditorium evokes a starry night sky and a Mediterranean courtyard. Its 1,238-seat historic auditorium and 43-seat screening room host nearly 1,000 events annually, including films, concerts, tours and educational programs. The theatre began a major restoration of the Historic Duncan Auditorium in March 2026. It stands on Franklin Street between Zack and Polk, and Tampa Theatre Inc. manages the venue as a nonprofit.^[1][2]

Do

Buy tickets through Tampa Theatre’s official website or Box Office; the venue says online sales are handled exclusively by eTix and warns that third-party tickets may be invalid.^[2]
For a reserved-seating event, call the Box Office if you need help choosing seats; wheelchair spaces and companion seating at general-admission events are first-come, first-served.^[2]

Don’t

Don’t count on elevator access to the mezzanine or balcony: the venue says it has no elevator and those levels are accessible only by stairs.^[2]
