Plan your visit

For the Margaritaville at Sea Islander sailing from Tampa, the operator identifies Port Tampa Bay Terminal 6 as its departure terminal. The guide says Terminal 6 opens at 9:30 a.m. on embarkation days and closes promptly at 2:30 p.m.; guests arriving after closing are denied boarding. Arrival windows depend on stateroom location and are sent about 21 days before sailing; the guide also asks each party to bring valid travel documents and a boarding pass, noting that documents cannot be photocopies, photographs, or digital copies.^[2][1]

Do

Download and pre-tag checked luggage as the guide recommends; it says tags are sent about seven days before sailing.^[2]
Consider prepaying for self-parking if you want to reserve a closer space, as the guide says spaces nearer Terminal 6 are limited and Port Tampa Bay encourages prepayment.^[2]
